MERRY CHRISTMAS!! 1 day..

late. I never got around to doing my own Christmas cards. I had really good intentions but somehow I lost them...maybe it had to do with our power being off for 11 days.... Anyway, here is the photo I was going to use and since I consider it Christmas for the rest of the year, I decided it was okay to post it today..

Sister's....

I thought for sure I was going to get a message saying they wanted to cancel. The weather outside was about 16 degrees....the kind of weather that you just want to curl up in your comfortable sweats, a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket and a good book. (Okay, I admit it...I would have on some cheesy reality show and a book sitting next to me in case someone walked in ;o)-  Well, I never got that call so I bundled up and put on comfy winter boots, gloves and my ski hat and headed to take some fabulous pictures of two beautiful sisters. I think I succeeded... Carley and Erin were incredible sports. Not one time did I see them complaining. They took this serious...they came to have there pictures done and we did just that.

I remember those days...

when my mom used to have birthday parties for me. I remember the games we used to play, the trees we used to climb, the yummy cake we would eat and all the awesome presents I used to get. I loved every minute of it!  I miss those days.... DSC_2452Edit

I got relive it through Libby's birthday party. Her mom did such a great job putting this together and I know it will become one of those great memories for her just like the ones that I cherish to this day..

Beautiful brown eyes....

What a cutie! His eyes are like big dark marbles that draw you right in. He is going to melt a few hearts in his time for sure. I seem to be getting my fair share of 2yr olds lately and the one thing they all seem to have in common is that they refuse to look at me unless of course I play tricks on them. I think I had to tell Deigo there was a fish in the lens and if he looked real close he could see it. Adorable Ella below..same thing....you just have to do what you have to do to get the shot you want. I am thrilled with the outcome! Let me know what you think...

As you can see, he wasn't buying the fish in the lens story!

I think this beautiful little girl broke the record...

as the fastest 2yr old (almost 3) in the world. This shoot at Wingaersheek Beach was sooooo much fun and so exhausting all at the same time. The moment I met her, it was love at first sight. Well, at least for me it was. Ella was sleeping sound when I got in the car and then she heard my voice and I saw her open one eye looking at me like I was crazy. I know she was thinking: "If you think your going to take my picture lady, I'll show you!" And oh did she show me!  I think if you would have seen me at the end of this shoot you would have had a good laugh. I know her mother did. My cloths were sopping wet, I had half the beach on my pants and my hair resembled madusa. But hey, I gotcha  Ella! he he

My New Business Cards....

IMG_businesscardse

I am so excited to debut my new business cards! I just LOVE them!  For those of you who don't get the effect of my background on my blog due to monitor size etc.. you can see exactly how it really looks.

My cousin Peter is the one who has been working on my blog, my logo, my business cards and also on my website (coming soon). I feel so fortunate to be working with someone I know and trust. He is a great person to work with, COMPLETELY reasonable and just an incredible person all around. I have been asked quite a few times who has done blog so I thought it would be a good idea to post his information here in case anyone else were to inquire.

Another oldie....

Well, my living room is getting cleaner...slowly...very slowly. I found another old photo that I absolutely love. Actually, what I really love is the baby. Her name is Hannah and she was the most perfect looking baby I had ever seen. She's adorable in this picture but she was even cuter in person. She had the perfect round face with most incredible cheeks and the best Michelin rolls I had ever seen. Don't you think she is to die for?

Digging through the archives...

I opened a can of worms the other day when I decided to dig through old negatives that I hadn't gone through in over 10yrs. I had hundreds of them laying all around my living room and I just sat there on my floor for hours. It was the morning when I started and the next thing I knew, it was 5:00pm. I ran across the very first photo I ever took. I was 14yrs old... I have no idea what camera I used, where I got the camera or how I printed it. I am not sure why I can't remember the things but what I do remember is that when I took the photo, I knew that I wanted to be a photographer.  All I have is the photo that was printed...the negatives are no where to be found :(  The picture is wallet size so it didn't scan great but you'll get the idea..
